This build is designed for players seeking a reliable alternative to the Striker build. Perfect for raids, Incursions, and any mission, it delivers high, consistent damage without relying on stacks—just shoot and enjoy maximum damage instantly.
This build is a pure DPS build and is not designed for solo players. You can use it in heroic missions, but you'll need to play from cover, just like with any full red DPS build.

WHERE TO FARM GEAR AND WHY
Here is some information on the gear we're using in this build. These are important details to know about each piece.
St. Elmo's Engine
The most challenging items to obtain are the St. Elmo's Engine assault rifle, which can be acquired through targeted loot in Countdown.
St. Elmo's Engine has a base damage of 46.9K, with a rate of fire of 850 RPM and a magazine size of 70. It is one of the most popular weapons in the game.
This build is optimized for the St. Elmo's Engine exotic assault rifle. During testing, I noticed a significant damage loss when using the Eagle Bearer and Striga assault rifles. I also tried the Military P416 with Strained and the Shield Splinterer, but I experienced a drop of around 4 million damage with those weapons. Only the St. Elmo's Engine seems to work effectively with this build.
Improvised Gear
You may encounter challenges with Improvised gear for gloves, holster, and kneepads. These pieces can only be crafted and cannot be farmed. Usually, when crafted, they come with low stats, making it costly to achieve the right attributes. I use Improvised gear because it allows me to add gear mods—in my case, Critical Hit Damage mods on the gloves, holster, and kneepads.
Coyote's Mask
This mask can be farmed in any activity or by opening exotic caches. You have a higher chance of getting it in Jefferson Trade Center—if you need one, play on Heroic difficulty with directives enabled.

RECOMMENDED SPECIALIZATION
Gunner
For increased survivability, I suggest opting for the Gunner specialization because of the Incessant talent, which provides a 10% armor on kill. Additionally, you will benefit from Barrage talent thanks to a 5% Rate of Fire increase following each elimination.
RECOMMENDED SKILLS
Reviver Hive
This build focuses solely on DPS, and it is recommended to equip the Reviver Hive for self-revival.
Second Skills
When selecting skills for the second slot, opt for abilities like Blinder, Foam, or Decoy that can be effective without depending on skill tiers.
